Damn dude that is a big reduction! Any chance you will be selling these in pairs? I might want a set and a half for my 6x6.

Will they work with the stock rims?

Yes, they do work with stock rims. Here is picture of my Trekker with wideners installed with stock wheels and tires. The hex option on the back and the spanner option on the front.

Heres the link to eBay.

I was running a batch of these today and experimented with a couple types of plastic. The clear one is poly carb and the black is Delrin. I figure that less weight in the rear might be advantageous to some builds. They are the same shape as the brass pieces just about 10 grams lighter. I was thinking a mixed set up when I made these, brass in the front and plastic in the rear. Which may help with the COG. The Poly would be prone to cracking, maybe. The Delrin is more durable for sure.

Is a mixed 2 Delrin and 2 brass set worth posting on Ebay with the other stuff?

I've been playing with clear polycarb lately for some quadcopter parts, and it's strong stuff. A flat sheet will fold rather than snap, so I'm sure these will deform LONG before they crack. Delrin should be the same way.

The only clear plastic I'd be worried about is acrylic. It's crap! It shatters, is hard to work with, and it's kinda heavy for what it is (high density???).

How strong are the threads on a Delrin widener? Will the nut deform the threads, or will the nut just deform before it destroys the threads?

Actually, if you use the CrawlerX Delrin wideners, they don't have threads cut. With plastics it's often better to let the screw (or axle in this case) cut the threads for a tight fit. Running a tap threw them will cut threads with a loose fit like metal. This will result in either deformation or the threads simply pulling out. With Delrin, I've seen threads pull out, and threads just deform to the point of being loose. I guess it depends on the circumstances...

In either case, I try not to use plastic for anything holding a thread with any kind of torque, unless you're using LONG screw in a DEEP hole (a lot of area for the screw to bite). That's what nuts are for.

BTW, The machine work on your parts is very nice! Plastics aren't always the easiest to work with.

Can you use just the spanner nut or hex nut & no wideners. I want to keep the stock width. I'm not going to run the miclaws. Just stock & rc4wd intercos.
Just looking to add weight without buying aluminum rims.
