Default Anouther Trekker!

Got it in the mail today. Thought it was stock looks like its got some custom lower links. Back of the frames been cut. Tires been peeled and bb's put in. it has a jr servo but the arm doesn't fit too spins sometimes. So on to my list i'll be needing new wheels and tires. I think i'll be getting the stock links for the truck. Also been eying the torsion chassis. Def. be needing a danally Motor. Anything else it looks like i need? besides a body. Heres the pics.

2s lipo if you don't already have one. Run time is about doubled, as is wheelspeed. Could probably stand to de-case your ESC/RX combo, too. Saves a little bit of weight anyway.

Just charged the lipo. It is a 2s 180mah didn't seem to last long. Is it normal for these things to scream at full throttle. Its not fast but its loud. Def. be needing a motor this one its not very torquey. Servo is junk the gear inside is stripped that's the clicking I was hearing while steering. The custom links must be off a little because I can watch the truck dog track across my floor so I will be needing stock links. The COG on this must be pretty high because I rolled it at least a dozen times climbing my entertainment center. What servo was it I read well fit this thing aahs be strong the hitec 65? Thanks again this thing is fun.

Check the pinion / spur gear mesh -- sounds like its too tight- back the motor off a bit

After work I plan on tearing it down. I ordered some wheels and tires these were torn so BB's could be put in. New chassis on the way and a 65mg servo. Not sure what I'm gong to do for a body yet might have to bum around Walmart for a bit see what they got ;)

Took It to work with me to show a guy before i tore it apart. He's says "I got to get me one for the kid. But i'll probably play with it more." lol Cant wait for my parts to show up. I've been thinking of making a course for it too. What do you guys use? Was thinking foam then shaping and painting it?

I think i found my driveline noise. I pulled the trans down and everything was nice and smooth but i noticed when i put it back together that the spur pinion mesh was loose. But i can't go up any further its maxed out. I counted the spur i think its a 54t and the pinion i believe is a 10t. Now since i'm new to these is this right? I snapped a pic but it is a bit hard to see i really can't get it to focus that close soo... The other question i have is does this look like the factory motor?

I did notch them a touch just before I took the pic. So it was worse. I also glued the slipper may have got some on the gear because it makes more noise lol. Got a danally motor coming with 11t pinion so maybe I will get a bigger spur. Where can I get an aluminum spur?

eBay has them. That's it the stock motor, but try notching it a bit more should have a sheet of paper thickness clearance

If you glued your slipper already you'll have to get that too I'd imagine.

Did you get the Danally kit? Or just the motor and pinion? The kit comes with everything you need.
