Pretty much how much charger u want. You can make anything charge safe & good if its digital has a balancer & adjustable. Things that upgrade a charger Electric fans Large range of lipo cells capable of charging Ac/dc/Voltage-some take a power supply for dif kinds of batterys other than lipos Multi chargers are now easily available For a baseline single battery charger thats digital & has a balancer & will plug into the wall i wouldnt break $100. |

Been using an Ascend by Radient. Compact size, AC/DC operation, cooling fan, digital controls, charges 2s and 3s, has balance plug and costs about $30.

I have a turnigy accucell 6 and an imax b6 which is basically the same chargers and both under $30. you will need a power supply for both and they can charge discharge and balance up to a 6s battery and has settings that go down into tenths so they are perfect for charging our below 1000mah batteries

I have a GT Power Xcharger C6 which is basically a accucell 6. Has built in balancing ports, does lipo, life, nimh, nicad you name it. Pretty good value at about $35 with the power supply. Just another model to consider.

so interesting people referencing the balance feature.. I havent gotten up the cahones but I know Danally cuts off his balance plugs to make less wiring for these lil guys and hasnt had a problem yet.. I still prefer my balance plugs... I have the thunder ac6 and it does well.. Thunder AC6 Smart LiPo Balance Charger/Discharger w/ AC Adapter for 1-6 Lipo/ 1-15 Nimh + USB to PC Software |

Had couple of Losi lipos without balance plugs for a while. Used the Losi charger and they did fine. My current charger won't charge one without a balance plug though.

^the losi lipos have built in overcharge/overdischarge circuitry. This probably limit the charge current from your charger.

| Re: What lipo charger is suggested? I just read about your charger and you are right, it wont charge any lipo without a balance plug. It appears it is a safety feature by design.
