I'm liking the way this thing is looking. The front end kinda looks like a snake head. Looks great!!!

Well, construction is finally finished! Now begins the tedious task of sanding, and painting. Not exactly my favorite part. I prefer the build, but it's always satisfying to see the finished painted product. Shouldn't be long now!

Oh yeah, here's a shot of why I called her "Flat-bottomed girl". Which is a play on an old Queen song.

I took this shot during tear down so that I could show how I got the bottom like that. I had to make a center driveshaft, and a carrier bearing. I tested it already, and it seams to work fine!

Subbed.

Very interested to see how the chassis holds up. I built a ladder frame out of 1/8" styrene, looked real nice and It held up fine from the a few test runs. However, when I later went to secure the cross member with brass tubing & thread rod, it snapped LOL. Perhaps I should have went up to 3/16" or maybe used a different brand styrene (i got the stuff from TAP)

I now have a brass chassis for my 'Yota. Hope to put the finishing touches this weekend.

She's finally coming together. It's a little slow moving right now. Body and wheels are still out to paint, and I have a bit of electrical work to clean up. But it shouldn't be that long before I can call her done!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have this build, as well as my 1/20 class 5 Baja bug build in the micro scale rigs section! I also have several builds waiting. Like a Jeep Cherokee pre-runner, 3 mega-mud trucks (a Nissan king cab, chevy blazer, chevy s-10), and my newest addition, a peterbilt! All of them in 1/20 scale! It's enough to keep me busy for years! It is hard to find time though, I also have three kids. Between my 3year old wanting my constant attention, my 17 year old just having surgery on the tendons in her ankle and needing my constant attention, as well as running a full time business, I don't get much time to work. Mostly late nights, and early mornings. Luckily my 14 year old is rather independent right now. I'm just waiting for them to invent a longer day!

Ok, I know I said lights, but I can do that later. For now, I couldn't wait to see her done! I took her out for a quick test run on the rocks, and she was more than I expected! She'll take just about every line I throw at her! All I can say is I'm glad she's finally done. Here's some pics:
