thanks, it was so much work. All the links, steering were made by hand, the mounting plates were made by hand, even the body panels are aluminum plates. Took a ton of trial and error. Just getting the electronics in there was a miracle. Its packed in. Its very heavy it weighs 3lb 13 oz I just use it for fun at home. I havent touched it in almost 1 year. |

TCS only sells the mini edge now and the mini eclipse has been discontinued. Mr Pink made the fat dog and ecoli the skunk but i dont believe Mr Pink is around/sells chassis any longer I would try sending ecoli a PM. Last edited by akguanja; 09-02-2011 at 04:35 PM. | |

Funny that there's still interest in these. I made a run of them years ago now. I figured comp tubers were all dead ! There were several of us building similarly styled tubers back in the day. I think we all owe this "style" to Gimbal though. I don't think he's been on here for a couple of years. |

Looks like I am resurrecting this thread....which isn't bad because the OP's rig is something that new guys like myself should see. Kinda like a prerequisite to MRC's. Anyway, I love this chassis, friggin' love it! Do any of you know how to get in touch with "Ecoli"? I sent him a PM but his last post was in 2014. I have looked and looked through the Internet, going to all the sites that I know to go to but cannot find one new or used. I gotta have this thing. If anyone knows how to contact him can you tell him there is a guy interested on RCCrawler Forum? Who knows, bringing the thread back to life may generate some new interest. Thanks! |
