| Lowering a 1/18 Losi Crawler
I have been looking around on here for a while and have seen some pretty cool lowered rides. It looks like quite a few people are using fuel line to limit the height. Does anyone have a good write up or better pictures on how this is acomplished? Thanks! |

They are using a droop setup. that means that they are running springs inside their shocks. But some dont and just use hevier wt shock oil in the 50 to 90 wt range. some also lay their shocks back by positioning the upper shock mount on a lower hole. They are only able to do this because of aftermarket chassis. And some run shorter shocks with springs. Now if you just want to use the stock shocks and mounting point you take apart the shocks and put the fuel line underneath the piston. As you are gonna take the oil out anyway put some heavier wt oil in the Left rear to help fight torque twist. It takes experimentation and testing to find the optimum suspension setup for your liking so just try different setups and go from their If you have any other questions refer to this thread The beginers guide to the MRC. |

I used some pieces of antenna tube to limit the travel of my shocks. I run sprung(no full droop) and slide the tube on the back side of the shock piston to limit down travel.

Putting some spacers on the inside is the best way to lower them. IMO Looks something like so. |
