| Is the stock motor timing set at 0 degrees?
I have done a search and read the sticky but I still can't come up with a straight answer. Does the stock motor have positive timing or is it set a zero? Is there any difference when running the motor in reverse? thanks

It's set at 0. Forward and Reverse have the same speed.

If your thinking of flipping the tranny round then this should put you off till you have a spare motor to throw in when the stock one dies. | |

Is there any other hardcore evidence on the timing? I have searched and found just as many post saying it is zero as saying it is positive.

THE TIMMING ON THE STOCK MOTOR IS ADVANCED. PERIOD. as for your dads running faster in reverse, if he has his motor/tyranny flopped, then he has either flipped his wiring, or flipped the switch. Either or... Doesn't matter, of your motor is flipped the its going to be faster in reverse, because technically that is forward |
