Default GC3 question

I tried doing a search but didn't work out so well on the iPhone. Hope someone can help me out. I am looking at getting the gc3 chassis but will bent lower links work with this chassis? I have the hr-racing 30 degree lower links on a stock chassis now.

I seen that thread as well and it gave me some hope.

I saw it came with new links, but the area I crawl in I really could use the extra clearance.

dont worry about it.
no high rise links on my rig,and I love running the break your truck kind of stuff.

if it comes with links your good.but make sure you get the right shocks.

just try to get all your wieght as low as you can though.
run a small batt. to fit it down into the chassis. and tires man.
the tires are key on these little trucks.

I have alot already done as well. I have a set of the 3racing shocks limited and running 80wt. That's all the LHS had for oil. Also have a set of flat irons for the tires and have cut every other tread. Small lipo battery and a 144oz airtronics mg servo. And a custom 4 link upper that I made from the stock lowers. Just ordered and got shipping confirm today that my HH torquemaster shipped today.

The truck handles and drives great. TT is pretty much gone with the custom 4 link. I know my geometry is not spot on, and how the front 4 link mounts can be a pain to reconnect if I take a hard fall and the mount comes out. Know with the new chassis things will be lined up better and adjustability.

Afraid with straight lowers I won't be able to climb the bigger ledges that I have to deal with. For example, one climb rock face is pretty much straight up and with te mrc on it's back wheels almost vertical I still have about an inch or two to get frot tires over ledge. I have learned if I am at an angle and punch it I can get it to jump up and catch the lip with the front tires. With the straight lowers I would highside and couldn't make it but the bent links give me the clearance and I can slide the skid plate up. Would hate to lose this or have to groom/add a rock to be able to make the climb.

dont worry, build it with the links provided.
get your wieght low,and lose the flatirons. you'll be good.
but get some rovers or spend alittle$$$ and get some cut n shut cougars/cobras
have fun with your build.
but make sure your shocks are the length needed for your new chassis.

I built mine with bent lower rear links. They dont hit the uppers but I have not tuned the suspension yet since the rocks are all covered with snow right now. I cant wait to try it out. Check my build thread Here

Do you by any chance know what size the shocks need to be for this chassis?

If you are getting new shocks, Gatekeeper recommends the Vendetta shocks. He has a link to them in his thread, I think Trace linked em as well.

"the shocks are part# DTXC8998
the rear springs are part #DTXC9179
the front springs are part #DTXC9276

The upper shock mount for this very good shock upgrade is# DTXC8992"

The feedback on the forums about the vendettas is they do exactly what Gatekeeper said they would, they work really well and they dont leak!
I'm not a huge fan of losi shocks, I grew up with Tamiya, Associated and later Traxxas. So I just dont seem to do as good a job building Losi's, they never feel as "right" to me when I'm done. That being said, lots of folks swear by them. They say that you just shouldnt be squeemish when you are tightening the end cap. The Losis will also fit just fine.
Since Gatekeeper, created the GC3 chassis and went to the trouble of recommending the Vendettas, I ordered some from Tower,
