Could you explain the different motors? I am not that familiar with brushed. A 16t does not seem that different to me than a 19t. Why would I want a 18t but not a 19t etc,. Is there that big of a difference from 1t? |

When its a high wind, you dont notice it really. so a 52t and a 55t will feel about the same, but when you get to the lower winds. It is a noticeable difference. 17T-This motor will be faster than the 18t and 19t,it is suited best with drivers who desire alot of wheel speed. 19t-Great motor for drivers who feel better low end controle is more important than wheel speed. 18t is a happy median All you have to do is pick your poison I had a top driver say he would prefer a 17t,so I made it happen I had another top driver say he would prefer a 18t for a little more finess, and so it was The 19t was really initially to take care of guys with truck a little on the heavy side, mrc scalers included.Something a little more suited to thier needs, yet its still no doubt a comp worthy motor aswell for the serious competitor. That helps. Thanks. Am I to assume that you dont really want to adjust wheelspeed/torque with the pinions as much as choosing the correct motor from the get go? All motors like to run in the 12t pinion range (give or take a tooth)? |

the 12t pinion will work well on all 3 contrabands, and IMO is the best starting point, but you may be able to adjust that gearing for more speed/torque still depending on what you desire. And you may have to adjust from 12t depending on how you drive.the motor must come 1st,if your motor/esc is getting to hot after a typical run,you must adjust your gearing to acommodate. With the contraband in a comp rig, torque is not an issue, nither is drag brake. The speed isnt really an issue iether, even the 19t is considerably fast with a 12t pinion. | I run your motor also. 19T with a 12t pinion gear. I took 6th place with it at the AZ Qualifier. A must have for the mini. It was good to meet you. |
