Get a normal 1/10 scale servo. You be Much happier!

And too much torque doesn't exist.. Lol..
I run a 7950 on my mrc.. A Hitec 5645 would be a good buy, if ur not competitive crawling

Yup. I have a 645 on my MRC and it isn't bad. But I need way more torque for the type of stuff I do. Another 7955 would be my next option probably.

You really are pushing those aren't you? I'll probably end up getting one eventually.

Maybe.. Whatever made it a winch, needs to be reversed.

Yeah, why not!? Great servo, with super torque, at a affordable price, from the number 1 full fledged, do Everything he/they can for crawlers, crawler based, USA company!

I use servo city for servos. Sometimes Ebay. I would recommend Hitec, it is a personal choice. I have tried other servos out there with little success, and check out Value Hobby for batteries.

Just bought a Torquemaster from them so...

It would be going in my MRC, so I'm not looking to spend a whole lot on a servo right now. Might get a solar D772 to get me by until I can get a real servo.

Ooh no. The HS-55 is way to small and really not even close to having the torque required for a crawler. I'd get one of these as a starter servo to see if you need more torque for what you're doing. If you do need more torque then you can get something stronger.

HS-5585MH Economical, High Voltage, High Torque, Coreless, Metal Gear Digital Sport Servo | HITEC RCD USA

Or

HS-5685MH High Voltage, High Torque, Metal Gear Digital Sport Servo | HITEC RCD USA

Or you can get a Solar D772.

To make the servo into a winch you needed to re-install the stop and the potentiometer inside. It is a lot of work and not worth it vs the cost of a new servo. I use a 7950 on my mini and it works nicely! Big thing you have to keep in mind is the ESC can't put out very much current so a BEC is necessary. I use a castle one since it is teeny tiny and very powerful Castle Creations | CC BEC and CC BEC Pro

To make a standard servo mount work you need to first find a mount or fab one up (or have someone cut it out for you.) Then you will need some decent servo mounts and then your set A big servo makes a HUGE difference... Originally I had some pitiful servo on there and Troy kept nagging me to put a bigger one on... bla bla bla later I finally listened and never looked back
