| Fester's MRC (Pebble Pounder)
I recently bought a used MRC from a Forum and it arrived this afternoon. As you can see it's completely stock at the moment, Sadly there are no 1.9 comps in the UK that I'm aware of so this will just be for a bit of fun. The plan is to keep it simple, I've ordered front & rear 4 link mounts from DravTech, I will fit new shocks and a 1/10 size servo after that it will just be a few tweaks here and there till I'm reasonably happy with the performance. Thanks for looking. Last edited by FesterUK; 04-14-2015 at 10:53 AM. |

I finally got a chance to take the MRC for a spin, sadly still stock apart from 30 Degree lower rear links. waiting on a few parts to arrive. I was reasonable impressed with it seem to be a little more capable than the few Slickrocks I have driven, fair way off a Pro tough here is a very rubbish video I made while testing out my camera. https://youtu.be/DFZbsM6rhls |

Looking good. A side note about the DravTech link and servo mounts...I didn't realize you had an RTR chassis when you had asked about them. They will take a bit of work to set up with the RTR chassis being so wide. Without bends in the upper links, the uppers will want to get into the shocks pretty badly. With your car having a y-link for uppers now, you would have had some work to do regardless. Even with a Pro chassis the link lengths are different (I promise this is a good thing). Not a big deal, but not a simple bolt-on install. May as well use this an an opportunity to tip the rear pinion up out of the rocks and whatnot anyway. When it comes time for install post up. I'd be more than happy to help walk you through what it's going to take to make it happen. |

Thanks 89redranger I'll be sure to post up some pictures. The plan is to outboard the shocks and attach the top of them to the outside the chassis where the plastic top plate attaches hopefully that will give me a little more room to play with.

Decided to 4 link the rear of the MRC while I wait for parts to see if I would run into any clearance issues. By out-boarding the shocks and mounting the links inside the chassis I managed to just clear the shocks at full articulation. I also fitted the metal lockers. DravTech's 4-link mounts should be with me by mid week Also as I have finally hit 100 post I will dub this project Pebble Pounder Last edited by FesterUK; 04-14-2015 at 10:55 AM. |

Those parts look very nice. Good choice. The rear four link looks good from here. Keep up the good work. |

Mini update, most of the parts have arrived just waiting on some M3 Allthread, then I can make the front links, all I need to do then is fit the electronics and it's good to go. Other than wheels and tyres, I'm pretty much done with this rig as far as upgrades as I want this to be my throw in a backpack and go have some fun rig. A second build is on the cards tho List of Upgrades/Mods DravTech Front 4 Link Mount Traxxas Overdrive Mod 30 Degree rear lowers Metal Lockers CVD's Alu C-Hubs Out boarded, relocated and lowered shocks Axial chassis spacers Alturn 750MG Servo Please excuse the long bolts etc they are just for mock up. I've pretty much finished this project now, a few final tweaks and I'm done I may look into bigger offset hubs for the wheels & Rovers, other than that I'm happy. I set out wanting a fun little rig to throw in my backpack an that's exactly what I've got. I'm hoping to get a few shots on the rocks in the next few days. |

If you can, try and move the lower links inside the chassis some. Might help.
