No, the slickrock is a rebranded mrc while the temper is a rebranded knockoff like hsp kulak, redcat everest-16 etc. There are lots of threads/info on this subject on this site.

At first glance they look quite similar. But they actually ate not. The ecx has a much more budget friendly price but you get what you pay for. Not that the ecx is bad just not as good as the mrc or slickrock imo. Although I am looking for a temper to play around with one day ( I already own losi mrc, slickrock and losi mrc pro)
