Lightbulb out on a limb underdrive

I've been researching the underdrive mod. So far I have found mixed results in old posts between 2010 to 2014. Everything at has worked has been time consuming to make, fit and shim but not saying it wouldn't be worth it in the end. In one post seen a few guys say they have looked around for something more drop in.

I'm going out on a limb here and has anyone considered this
Differential Pinion Gear. Fits all NITRO: Lightning, Tornado, Tsunmai, and Volcano models
In rigs it works with is listed the everest 16.

Is it a big limb I'm inching out on or have it stumbled across something?

I had the same thought and ordered an HSP pinion (same part and part number) last week. Way easier to remove that extra material from the back than mess with the teeth on a lathe. I'll post back if it works.

Isn't the stock pinion gear also a 13T?

Stock is 14 teeth, the revo pinion for overdriving the front is 16 teeth.

The overdrive mod using a traxxas mini revo pinion is a 15t

With 15 up front and 13t in the rear was good.
Your just a tooth off. The place I found that quote rock hard was making a 12t but a 13t will work. Just like the overdrive gear is a 15t just going up a tooth made alot of difference. Going down a tooth from stock should be just as befitting.

That pinion fits the 1/10 Everest not the 1/16. It will not work.

Nice try, but I did my research before I posted and looked at all the facts.

Ok, I didn't say that you didn't look at the item description but it still won't fit. Enjoy

Why won't it work since you seem pretty confident it won't?

How about you back up your statement with some info just seems like your trolling.

Because I have modded the crap out of the exact axles that you are working with and have one of those exact pinions hanging above my bench because I believed the description. I just thought I'd let you know so you didn't waste your time and money. No worries though, I'm obviously just here trolling.

I don't have a everest 16, but another clone axle. And not a waste of money if it don't work cause my son has a everest 10 so I can use it there.

Also why didn't you just say you bought one and tried it instead of it won't work would have been much easier.
Just FYI

My son has an everest 10 so money isn't wasted for me. It was a big IF anyways.
