Got the body and wheels/tires mounted. Still waiting on electronics to finish it up.

Got my remote and receiver for the Gatekeeper Mini today. Its nothing special, but they work good and are cheap when you have multiples of these little trucks.

As always, space is limited on these Mini's. So I removed the case from the receiver, shrink wrapped it and got it in its spot.

Got my esc today so it was time to wrap this thing up.

I love how small the Tekin B1R is. It really fit my needs on this build, and maybe the next one lol.

Installed it and got it all wired up. Nice and compact.

Of course had to test it. lol

This thing crawls like crazy. My little rock pile wasn't even a challenge. Cant wait to try it out on the comp course.

Now time to build another one lol.

They are fun. I have three now that are complete, working on a fourth one lol. I still have enough parts for almost another one too. I really want to get a Dravtech setup sometime so I am saving parts for that too lol.

Finally got my other GateKeeper mini together. Really was just waiting on the esc but it got stuck on the back burner for a while.

I set up these two trucks as identical as possible with what I had. These were supposed to be for the kids so I wanted them fairly the same. The only differences right now are body's and servos.

I was also lucky enough to pick up another Mini from the Sale section. I have been wanting one of these forever so I couldn't pass it up.

Dinky RC Chassis setup and a Novak Mongoose setup. Cant wait to get this one together.

I cant wait to actually use all of these lol.

Yes. I lucked out and found a few pairs. I have one set of Vendetta shocks but no springs left as backups.

They work great with the Gatekeeper Chassis's.

Now that my other Mini's are done its time to tinker with the Dinky RC chassis. It was already together when I got it, but I wanted to change a couple things.

First I flipped the rear shocks. No gains in anything but I like it better this way. I wanted to flip the front shocks too but the way the shock caps are wont allow it.

I also shortened the upper rear links a little bit to give it a slightly better driveshaft angle.

Than I flipped the trans/motor around. I like how it sits in there better. And makes it sit how I want for electronics placement.

I cant wait to get some more parts and get this ting finished.

Trucks look great. Can you measure the width of the chassis side plates? Just curious how wide these chassis are thanks

Which side plates are you talking about? The only side plates are the ones on the outside of the chassis that cover it. Otherwise its a one piece chassis.

Not a big update but decided to do something on the Dinky Mini. Made up some electronic plates so I can start doing some figuring on what to do.

Also found a spare trans I had that has Aluminum internal gears so going to tear down the trans and rebuild it this weekend.

I'll see if I have a set of stock ones at home. I'm not sure if I do anymore lol.

Found some aluminum gears from another trans I tore apart so figured I would pull the trans out the Dinky Mini an rebuild it.

One of the first things I always do with these, is JB Weld the trans outputs into the aluminum gear. The aluminum is softer than the outputs so it will oblong the holes after a while. So a little jb weld and its good to go.

Than reassemble with my favorite grease. Red N Tacky.

Thank got the trans back in and driveshafts back in. Now to just figure out what motor/esc to run in it.

Anything new on the trucks? I just got some gtr shocks for my temper they look to be about the same length as the losi late models.

Haven't done much lately. Got cold here in Montana and didn't have anywhere local to run them indoors.

I did swing over to North Dakota for their 1st winter comp. Took the Twins and my Billet Works Designs rig over. Only ran the twins as I didn't have side plates made up yet for the BWD rig and its not legal without them.

So far...the Twins are doing awesome. Ran the Bug bodied one first course, than used the green one on course 2 and 3. Currently 1st in the runnings lol. We'll see if I can keep that spot.

To make my BWD rig legal for the next comp I came up with a way to mount a stock body...

Bent up some little metal pieces that simply slid around the two top bars on the cab. Holds the body firm and shouldn't come off if I dont roll it over lol.

Now I can take my Sleeper Mini as my buddy calls it to the comp lol
