1.8 - DNF (Did Not Finish): (40pts) are given anytime a driver cannot complete a course for any reason. (Timed-Out, Point-Out, Vehicle not Repairable, Went Home …etc) Progress points are awarded for each
gate completed.
After reading this, I think I see where we went wrong. It says Max. points per course is 40. Point out is 40, no matter what. So you hit 4 cones, your out, or 2 cone and 2 touches, etc.

We didn't have a point out. We just had a time out, at 40 points.

To me 40 points is a low point out, but we need to hurry the comp up, I say we up the point out to 60 points. If you hit two cones and then time out, that's 60 points and your done for that course.

We do that with a 7 to 8 min. time limit, 8 to 9 gate course, we finish the comp quicker, test your skills at a faster pace, make the courses doable with at least one hairy cone and I think it will be a better day.

Two courses, maybe three is we see that this is getting done quicker.

Then move on to other things.

The way it's done in the OK club, it's three courses, 8 to 9 gates, no time out, but we did have a point out this last weekend. Still took all day, and that was while having two courses going at the same time.

So we need to decide the time spent on comps vs. play time.

It looks like I and AlpineHyperLite will be riding to the comp together. Could one of you guys let me know where it's going to be held or give me some type of information so that I can look it up on mapquest or something. I would really appreciate. I'm REALLY stoked about attending my first comp and meeting some of you guys.

Man I'm REALLY excited. I don't have my comp rig anywhere near finished, but hopefully it will be ready for the next one. But I'm stoked to me coming with my slightly modded rig. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys, and I wish I had my slash in already. But for the next meet (if you guys decide to tolerate me again), I will have my comp rig and my slash. My old lady might even bring her slash, but she can't run in the spec class because she's rolling Novak GTB/Velocity 6.5 with LiPo.

OK, I have one more question. When you guys were discussing where the next comp was going to be, one of you guys mentioned that one of the spots was kind of hard to get to, and you mentioned that some guys would need to bring their full size off-road vehicles to shuffle people and equipment around. So I'm wondering if this is where the comp is going to be held. If it's in the park and accessible than it's not allowed or needed, but if it's back in the piney woods, I could bring my 4 wheeler for people to carry their stuff back and forth. Just let me know if you guys need it or want to use it.

Alright, that's good to hear. I'll bring my caddy. I couldn't afford hydraulics, so I just dilled out the air ride management shocks so the ass end sags real low, and put a gold vertical grill with a huge naked lady hood ornament on it. It'll blend right in with all the off road rigs lol.

If you guys don't mind another new guy I would like to attend. I just moved to Shreveport area about two weeks ago and I have not had a chance to run my trucks yet.
