I'd like to invite you guys to my Rock Garden for some friendly competition and BBQ on the weekend of the 22nd. I'm located in Youngsville, LA, just south of Lafayette.
You can see my rock garden build thread here. Not much for scalers, but plenty of room for comp lines. Should be able to get 2 groups going simultaneously.

ill be there, my truck is a halfbreed so i should be ok on them rocks, man i just looked at your rock garden thread and man my wife would kill me if i did that to her yard, but ya you can expect me there with my truck, im not sure how itll do but ill have fun with it till it breaks,

Ha, if I had a dollar for everytime... It will be well tied in and finished looking when done, not an eyesore. And yep, my wife's pretty permissive.

Sounds like a good way to spend a saturday. A little wheelin and bbqin. I dont have a comp rig right now, just 1.9 scalers, but if i make it to the lhs saturday maybe i can change that.. haha..

I just did a quick look see, got a couple i got my eye on. Im an old school shafty man my self, that and im cheap sometimes, so mroe money for a better esc aint always up my alley. But i should be able to pick up something.

Looks like if it is on that Sunday, I'll be able to make it! I will be bringing a mini, shafty (pro at this point) and possibly my new MOA if it is done. I just need to find the time to wire everything together.

Your rig count sounds exactly like mine. 2.2 shafty(Losi Fastback currently in the ER), MOA rig(Losi), and the mini. There's going to be at least one more mini if he's not offshore, and I'm trying to get a bud to snag a nice used one off the classifieds.
So far, there will also be a BJv3 Berg rig, 2-3 XR's, another Axial based Fastback, and some scaler/crawler rigs. We are looking at around 12 comp rigs so far, and I'm looking for rigs for 2 more friends down here.
Anyone else from your crew thinking about making it down here?
