Default anyone around Baltimore?

I live in Parkville. I just got into the RC crawling. Is there anyone local that would want to meet up and crawl on some rocks at a local state park?

The closest to you is SVSC up over the line in PA. I have been waiting for a club to start up in the balt area for a few years and it hasn't happened. I would love to do a comp at Rocks State Park in Harford Co.

If anyone wants to get something together I am in!

I tried the SVSC club website and sent an e-mail to the president, but the e-mail came back as 'non-deliverable'.

Want to meet up and just drive the rock crawlers around? I'm getting bored driving over the same 5 rocks in my backyard!

Thanks for the update, I'll drop them a line even though York is 1.5 hours away from me. Keep in touch and after your training, lets set up a time and place for anyone to join in and have some fun with their RC crawlers!

How about towards the north end of the park near the little store? I remember a big parking lot and the road level is close to the stream level with a boat load of rocks.

I am going to scope it out this week before I leave for two weeks. I know the park ranger that lives in the house at the park and make sure it is ok to comp there as well. Anywhere you go up there is going to work well.

I still haven't found anyone else locally to crawl with, so I've gone out a few times with the guys from the SVSC club. I see that your avitar says Millersville, you're close to Patasco State Park, it's nothing but rocks! I sometimes ride my mountain bike in that park.

Yeah I have thought about that. Just dont want to get run over by some downhiller on a mountain bike. I will just have to do some driving around the different parks and scope them out.

There is an old construction sight behind a Safeway down here with a nice small pile that I am going to be utilizing quite a bit. It seems to be a perfect combo of rocks and dirt......
We will see as soon as I get my electronics wired up.....

let me know if you find a decent area, I'm always looking for someone else to crawl with. If you guys feel like making the trip to Baltimore, there's an area at GunPowder state park in Perry Hall that has the best rock gardens that you ever find. I usually ride my Mt Bike back there, and there's always lots of folks out on the rocks swimminbg in the water. It's about a 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot, but well worth it.

Sounds good we will have to try that sometime. I have fished Gunpowder plenty of times. Still kind of hoping to find something closer to the parking lot for the first few runs in case of issues :-P

I always drive by GPA hobbies at least I think I do, isn't it the shop by Big Fish and some pet food place or on the same stretch of highway. I actually have to drive up that way this week and may stop in on the way back if it is worth it, so is it?
