Default Let's plan a comp II

It seems like everybody was asking when the next comp/gtg will be before we even left yesterday.

I'm here looking at my calender, and it looks like Sunday, October 19th is about a month away. Say same time, 12:00 noon? Please give input for this date and time, but that should give all of us ample time to order more parts!

Location: I think everybody that attended yesterday enjoyed Sugarloaf, but if anybody has an idea for a different location please share!

Discuss...

Im all for it....the 5th is the only day I definately CAN'T do...rest of the month is open so far.
Im open for most any location within a reasonable distance, but Sugarloaf would be fine, too.

19th is a good date. I either have football games or wheel trips the other dates.

SugarLoaf was cool. I'm going to check out Patapsco State Park - McKeldin Area to see if there is anything. I know there are rocks, just not sure if they are suitable.

19th is good here too. 12th is KGB Benefit run at Rausch.

Couple more parts and I should be up and running with the tlt again.

Dont sell it, You will regret it. You of all peolple should know you can never have too many. Hang onto it, and get the hilift too. By the way, was the axle shaft the only thing that broke on that nasty fall?

It looks like the 19th at noon works for almost everybody, Sorry Speede... Whatever it is, the crawler gtg is definitely more important

There was more talk of a comp format on Sunday too. I think we need a way of merging all crawlers into 1 class though. Like a handicap for the supers or something. Post up if you have any ideas. I can get score sheets and more "gate's" (numbered this time) if there is any intrest.

well when I first saw it I liked it and thought I'd be able to make it more scale but its not what I want.I want a scaler with high clearance.I have over 43 r/c vehicles since I am a collector so I had to make a deal with the wife.If I want a new vehicle I have to sell one,not accumulate more.I also have my third child on the way so I am not trying to spend more to get another vehicle and have the bronco sit unused when the money can go to the new baby instead. OH!!and yes just the axle broke but is now fixed and running again thanks to JAMISONWORKSHOP.I appreciate the part if you see this man.

Good to hear you got it fixed. I'll bring more spare parts next time. All I had were the Blackfoot shafts (adds a slight amount of additional width)

Comp format works. I think a properly designed course would be enough to penalize the supers, i.e. narrow gates and sharp turns. I think most Super Owners here own a 2.2 anyway.

Yeah, but to BE a "collector", you HAVE to keep getting MORE, right?......or you can use this line: "honey, I wont get back what I've got in it, so it not worth it to sell it...I ought to keep it and just get something else"...... J/K, I understand the wife / kids issue....thats why I have only gotten deep my RC addiction in the last 6 or 8 years now that the kids are getting older --- cant wait till they move out and I can raise my RC "allowance" even further
