Default Rock Creek Park

I live near Rock Creek Park if anyone is nearby and wants to do some crawling there.

I found a good spot on the creek bank near picnic area #10. I'm sure there are many more great areas to run there.

I think it would be a good place to run trucks and then BBQ!

Yep, I'm near the northern part of the park. Let me know if you are in the area with your rig. I'll do the same.

Ok. I'm in Baltimore. If you meet anyone or hear of any events, feel free to shoot me a PM. Seems not much happens during the winter months though.

We SVSC will try to do some GTG if the weather is nice throught the winter months. Keep an eye on our site for info. Usually I try to post something during the week before a GTG. Or if you have somewhere around Baltimore I would be up for the short trip down that way to run with some new people.

It's about 90min from baltimore to lewis but one weekend you guys organize something I'd like to get up there to meet and greet before spring comes and I can get back out of hibernation. Btw, liked the svsc facebook page and accepted your friend request, thanks for making people feel welcome into your circle!

There are a few GREAT places here around bmore to crawl, but I haven't even so much as smelled another crawler around here between SVSC and Virginia besides bigski who has obligations these next few weekends.

There is a little meet/comp thing going on next sunday:

I thought about sharing it on Facebook but since I'm a newb, I didn't know what kind of etiquette I should expect. But Whitehall is a good halfway between myself and York so I'd imagine a few more people from Svsc would be a nice addition.

Share away on the Facebook site that is what it was made for. I will check it out, I just made some changes to my Wraith and may be interested in doing some crawling.

A bunch of the MD guys have lost their RC itch. Some of us will still meet up at Carder Rock State Park or Difficult Run with the Scalers.

I kind of got the impression it was a "once was" type of thing around here. Pretty sure I'll stay real active in the hobby for at least the next few years.. it's the only thing that gets me out of the city for now.

Been swaying toward the 1.9/scale side since I got into the hobby as it's more challenging for me to keep the smaller wheels down and moving forward.

Carderock? That and difficult run are only about an hour from me. Try to post up if you guys get out, sure I could make it most of the time if you want one more person to take up some space.
