Hey Everyone,

After a year break the Annual ice crawl is back. Primarily because there is actually some snow to crawl on this year.

We will be having the Ice Crawl on March 2nd. !This Event is open to anyone who would like to come play in the snow!

The race will begin at 10:30 so please be sure to get there a little before that to get ready. Any vehicle can be sued provided it meets 3 guidelines.

1. A wheelbase narrower than 16"
2. It does not run on gas/nitro (IE it is electric)
3. It must have wheels.

Instead of a race to the top we will be setting a course this year. Aside form that the details of the race style will be revealed the day of the race.

The vehicles will be broken into two classes. Those with studded tires, and those without.

The location for this event it the back parking lot across the street from the Framingham 15 movie theater, just west of the Natick Mall.

GPS to 33 Flutie Pass, Framingham Ma.

So the guys with the Big Tonka Trucks have been hard at work to make "our" pile bigger. Notice the large pile in the back that is a bit hard to see.

Open to everyone who wants to participate, as well as any of the series comps, anyone is welcome to watch or participate.

Yea like RICrawler said. Just show up and have fun. BC is more of a state of mind then a club. HA HA HA.

This is our just for kick winter get together. Bring a rig and see how it does on a snow course. THe outdoor series starting in April is also open to anyone with a 2.2 Pro or 2.2S rig (see USRCCA rules for guidelines). We don't d much scalin stuff except for the Ice Crawl coming up and the Hammers race in October.

Another mound update. Getting bigger, there is a lot more than what is shown in this picture. It should be a fun course (or two????

).

Thanks for all of the info. So pretty much most of the comps are for MOA based rigs? Im looking for people who run ttc's and scale comps

Hey Marshal,

The outdoor series is 2.2 based. The ice crawl is for any truck, we hope you can drop by and have some fun. You may want to check out RC Excitement in Fitchburg. I think they hold a TTC and some other stuff like that occasionally.

I will be coming from the cape so as long as the bridge isent closed down i will be there!

It is not this coming Saturday but the next one. So hopefully they should have the bridge sorted out by then.

Update on Ice Crawl is as follows?

Weather should not be a problem, certainly won't call it over a few flurries or a couple showers.

The snow pile is looking quite nice. The rain has given it a chance to ice up a bit so it should be easier to navigate without "snow sink"

The current plan is to set up a course and run a few laps, rock race style instead of hill climb style. If there is interest we can run a second course afterwards.

Also worth mentioning, Thanks to Castle Creations and Axial will will be giving away a couple prizes tomorrow.

Dropped by tonight, still looking mighty nice. A dusting overnight may make it "really pretty"

instead of brownish.....

Have some good ideas on how to set up some fun courses tomorrow morning.

Bob took first place on our 2.2 Pro sprint course and took home a Castle BEC
Phil Edged out Keith in the Scaler circuit track and landed himself a sweet Boston Crawlers T-Shirt.
