Boston Crawlers - World's End - June 8th

This coming Sunday!!!!, June 9th! is Boston Crawlers Fifth Outdoor event of the season. It is also the Final Event in our Nationals Qualifier. The top two performers in the first 5 events will be given an invitation to Nationals in Arizona. This event is at World's End in Hingham, MA (Please bring $7 per person for entry to the park). To anyone who has not come to one of our events we welcome you to stop by and check it out, or enter a truck in one of our comp classes. There are still plenty of events left in the year.

As mentioned in our Outdoor schedule we will be running a 2.2 Pro class as well as a 2.2S class. Please see USRCCA rules to find out where your truck belongs. We will also be running a modified class for those who are new to crawling (though this class is not part of the Nationals Qualifier).

Again the event will be held at World's End Park, in Hingham, MA . Registration will begin at 10:00am and the competition will begin at 10:30. There will be three courses for all classes. We will be using the 2013 version of the USRCCA rules.

The weather is still a little questionable for this day so please check back for updates in case we need to push it due to weather.

While Boston Crawlers does not charge for the competitions, this is a Trustees controlled park and they do. There will be a $7 per person entry fee to the park (don't worry, it will be worth it). Once you pay drive around to the right and park at the end of the dirt parking lot. Not going to lie it is a bit of a walk to get to the rock but it is all flat level trails, no bushwhacking. See the Map below for parking and where the courses will be set.

Sat is looking like poop. Sunday is looking ok at the moment. We will keep an eye on it and make the call later this week.

Thanks for checking it out Jeff. We moved it to Sunday because it looks a lot less risky. wet rocks = suck fest (as we saw at that event in Meriden).

Thanks for everyone for coming out to our 5th event and Final's for Nationals Qualifier.

Brendan set 3 monster courses for us in Pro today, and we all helped set some rocking courses for Shafty.

Bob started us out on course 1 and got things going with a -25, but it was Dan who took us all to school on that course with a -90, wow nice work.

Lucky for Dan he got to run course 2 first, and found himself wanting a little more time. Bob and Brian were the only ones to get through course 2, further creating tension as the two continued to compete for the second nationals invite.

Bob earned the right to run course 3 first and threw down. Running a -74 on the course, he certainly was not making it easy for us. Brian ran second and was able to take advantage of running second and pulled a -90 out of his hat. Brendan decided that he was not going to let a DNF on course two put him out of the running and pulled a monster -109.

In the shafty class we found Dan, Jeff F. , and Jeff L. combating head to head all day. Dan and Jeff L. pulled some great runs on course 3 but it wasn't quite enough to Catch Jeff F. , but only just. with 1 point separating 1st from second and second from third.

A special thanks to Castle Creations for their prize support. Dan was happy to take home a Mamba Micro Pro, and Jeff F. landed himself a CC Bec. Go Castle

Great job to all our Drivers today. We hope to see everyone again in Wakefield on July 20th (maybe some sushi afterwards )
