Wow, it's been awhile since I've done an actual build thread...let's see if I still remember how to do this I have to admit that when I first saw the Mega Trucks, I thought they looked kind of silly. The more I saw of them though, the more I liked them and when I saw the RC4WD Mud Bashers I knew I had to build one of these. I wanted a special wheel though. One thing I like about full size Mega Trucks are the unique wheels on them. I wanted something home made looking or maybe even farm related, but I couldn't come up with anything that really grabbed me. Then I saw this ad and knew this was the wheel I wanted to build my Mega around: I started messing around in Fusion with some ideas and eventually had an inner wheel that I could use: I liked it so far so it was time to make a few more: Then a quick flip for the backsides: Then I started on the wheel halves. This is after I got the first one done: |

Congrats on some sexy wheels! Love the true tractor style. Now what about the rest of the truck? |

When I was into building 1:1's, we has a guy down south that would cut out any center we wanted. I know it's a little late, but if you get around to making more, I can grab some pics of centers for ideas. Sharp looking so far! Subscribed! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

The first thing I did is mount it up to my table. I'm really beginning to like this thing and plan to make up some better fixtures for it. For now I'm just using some scrap leftovers I had: I also found my old Ridgecrest skid. Missed you ol' pal! For now I'll use the Ridge skid but I'm already not liking this chassis. I thought it would be simple to drop the skid, but it almost looks to be easier to start from scratch. I still want to mock this up better so I have to cut these off for the cab to fit: |

I spent some time with this last night, and I just don't see this bed making it all the way in this build. I might try cutting it up and just using the panels, but I think this will end up as a truggy somehow. I also made changes to the back of the wheel center. Simpler, lighter and easier to machine: |

Awesome build !!! them wheels are to cool the whole rig is going to be, just me but think I would go with as much of the bed as can,, not truggy style. You need to make batch of those wheels and sell..

Those wheels are BAD ASS! I'd definitely be interested if they were sold at a decent price.

Anodizing them in black would be a killer and perfect replica for original Grave Digger truck.
