Default No Axial display at Monster Jam World Finals

Anyone else go to the World Finals and Vegas and find it odd that Axial didn't have a booth anywhere doing demos? I thought for sure we'd see one next to the RC area with the unveil of a new solid axle truck.

Would have made perfect sense to me.

It's not Axial Fest and they can't control it and prevent other RC manufacturers from being there...

But I would have thought it would have been in both Monster Jam's and Axial's best interests to be there, seeing as they are business partners. You'd think Monster Jam would want to show off products that earn them licensing royalties, and you'd think Axial would want to show off their 1/10 solid axle machines at the most popular monster truck event of the year. It's their target market.

That's a good point. But is it a business partnership or simply a licensing deal? Maybe they didn't want to show a product they couldn't sell because of Axial's lack of stock...

I would suspect that Feld Entertainment wanted a fee for advertising Axial, after all Axial paid Feld for the marketing rights.

John Shultz from Axial was part of the RC Monster Jam, they sold a shit load of SMT10s to Monster jam drivers, was a post on FB about it.

Look at these badass trucks! Everyone should buy one!!!

But you'll have to wait a few months. Oh and we have no parts available right now either. Oh and we can't warranty anything, because we have no parts available. Oh and everything is on backorder for 4 months.

What am I missing? I get there are some components backordered until May, but that's not 4 months, and I see the majority of parts are in stock, as are the trucks themselves.

I may have exaggerated a little for the sake of humour, but there is definitely a significant stocking issue on their parts and kits. SCX10 II kits have been out since February, with a release for late May or early June. There are still parts and kits out there of course, but the major retailers have been out for a while.

I went to the monster jam event before the vegas one in ri. I was expecting axial to have a booth there or at least some sort of advertising. Traxxas did a few years ago when they had the 2wd (lame) monster jam trucks. Now that there is an rc truck that actually resembles the 1:1 monster trucks you would think they would advertise.

We got a monster truck forum for these things. Use that please. Seeing how they're not crawlers, and awl.

On topic note, it is definitely disappointing to not see Axial represent at arguably the biggest monster truck event of the year, especially considering they sell licensed trucks. Their loss at the end of the day, looks like some badass trucks showed up and represented the hobby anyways!
