Default 2009 MiRCa summer comp series

Well we are trying to orginize the schedule for the 2009 MiRCa summer comp series. This year it will be ran by Robert Nemshick aka (Xzk7nr) and what he would like to see is any Idea's, comments or suggestions of what you would like to do this year. The series will include all of Michigan for those that are interested, meaning we will hold comps in your area also. This gives the opportunity to qualify for the National's in Moab Utah. The series will run from April to October, so please let us know if you are interested. Thank you MiRCa.

Also: I would like to add, that all clubs, groups or friends are welcomed.

Good news! As a reminder, we need to complete so many comps by a certain date (I do not have that info) to qualify for Nationals. So while the Series can run longer I believe last year it was about August when the series info was required to be turned in.

I'll be at all of them. Will we be running all 3 classes as per the Nationals, 1.9, 2.2, and Super? I'd personally like to compete in 1.9 and 2.2 for this years National.

I do have further comments, but would prefer them to be handled in person.

Thank you Jake. Also would you please post what classes you are interested in. Thanks

Last year we had to have 4 comps completed by July 1st, to qualify for nationals.

Jake we will run all the classes that will be at nationals. If we have a truck to run in that class we will run it. I am hoping to also run scalers the same day. But that depends on the turn out as well for all the classes.

After we get a head count on who whats to compete then we will plan a sit down meeting. But if you want to give me an idea no shoot me a PM.

I'm in for 2.2 comp, 1.9 comp, and 2.2 scale. Lets get this going asap so we will meet all the guidelines. I will go above and beyond to help make this all as easy as possible for the club. I plan on traveling a lot this year so having a recognized club that will be honored at Nationals is crucial. Let me know.

Thanks Twisted, our concern was whether the 2009 Rules would effect things. I know theres been alot of talk on Nationals Bids as well as new Club Requirements. We'll be waiting to see how things turn out, we have a few guys really wanting to be part of Nationals in 2009!

Rules do not look to be changing and since MIRC is already sanctioned, there shouldn't be nothing to worry about. Just have your min. of 4 events in by July 1st. But you guys should be able to talk to your rules rep and he should be talking to you and keeping you guys up to date and informed of everything
