I think you would deform the teeth, or spin them on the shaft. you could always try though.

Default Hey Herzog

Hi,
Did you have to modify your GD600 main shaft to accept a standard pinion? I am thinking about getting one for my TLT. Gonna have to modify the stampede tranny to make it work. Any help you can give would help.

I had to grind it down quite a bit but now the tranny is smoother that I put a new gear in because my other one I grinded crappy and was not even. I just hooked up a motor and ran it and held one of them grinding things used to sharpen tools I think, to the end of the shaft

just thought I would drop a line... from Swartz Creek and want to start crawlin'

not sure what to get yet, might try and sell/trade my 18t for a tlt or similar...

if not, might get a nylint 1/18 just to get started in crawling... I mean, for $50 I can still mod a lil I guess....

Will definately check out this thread a lot!

Grab a 1/6 nylint for $49 and have at it while you build something else, or just run it. They are pretty capable out of the box!

I hope to have my son driving the nylint by fall (when he turns 3), hopefully by that time I will have enough saved/purchased to have another build complete

Take I-75 to exit 109, Dort Hwy. When you come to the first light, your at Grand Blanc Rd. There is a Marathon station at the corner. Turn left. Go down grand blanc rd 1/4 mile, and you will see Bethany Baptist church on your right. Go to the back parking lot, far right side. Thats where we run.

I have been doing a lot of work up there, adding more things to do. Lots of good hill climbing, and little "rock crawling". its a overall fun spot to play. Electric rigs only please.

See ya there.
Is this still where were going? If it is let me now, and can someone tell me if its raining at about 1:00pm tomorrow in grand blanc, so I now whether i am going to go or not.

Not looking good, tons of rain and more coming. Its mostly clay based up there, so it becomes a sticky mess when its wet. Its supposed to rain most of the night as well. This sucks.
