Saw the pics on Facebook..
Track looks very nice. Can't wait to see what else you put together.

Ben, you need to get something like this. They go too fast to collect dust.

I've been putting my mill to good use. That is my chassis, bumper, and battery tray on there.

You guys going to have something like this set up there?

He can really set up anything you want Stu, I picked up a a TC5 and have been down there the past couple Sundays just turning laps and having a good time. He has an offroad set up with jumps and a road course layout. I think the rocks will be phased in after he gets the track and racing figured out and has a customer base.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I might have to pick up some stickies and bring my OFNA drift ElCamino down for some fun.
The only issue would be what he is using for tires and traction compound. The stuff we use for oval is some times not happy with other stuff. So you end up with a REALLY tacky track or a complete ice skating rink..

What are the guys running off road using?

He has kinda regulated traction compound to one brand (not sure off hand) everyone running onroad is just kind of showing up. Not enough people to really start racing yet, he has only been open for three weeks.

Off road is pretty much buggy, st truck and sc truck....with some wood jumps. Not my thing I like clay.

Talking to some of the faster TC guys they are running the Sorex tires in 24 to 28 compound. I ran some cheap Imex foams but the wheels are real brittle and a few hits to the wall brakes the wheels off the car.

What sort of layout is the TC track? Would they be willing to do any drifting? We used to go to a carpet track in Bellevile a few winters ago and it was a great way to beat the winter blues. We had a solid 8-15 guys that would come out and I know a bunch of them would still be interested if we found a decent place to run.

I'm also interested in some 1.9 and 2.2 scale crawling and have a bunch of guys I trail with that would probably be interested too!

Well, back in november this post started out with the title " indoor crawling spot" but all i have seen is go fast cars posted. Dont get me wrong they are really cool too but this is rc crawler folks. And this post started out for a crawling spot. Did this ever happen or was it just small talk to get us crawler guys excited for nothing?

Well, on a side note....Bob-Coleman had one of the nicest and challenging crawl spots at his house a few years ago and held tons of series events, state comps and get together's. More or less put Rc rock crawling on the map in south east Michigan for quite a few of us. He started his own shop and race track last fall with hopes of expanding and having a crawl spot ( that is what this thread is for) Sometimes things don't play out the way you would want them too and the rock crawl thing never happened.
