Had a good time today!! Other then little problems headshot450 had with his servo an my radio batterys. All and all great spot with great views! Would like to get more people out there for some trail runs!!

Yea good time. Thanks for the help trying to get it running. Prior I opened up the stock servo and epoxied the board and packed the gears with grease to waterproof. The grease just killed the steering with drag so i opened it back up again and pulled the grease out. Through the process the small gear that's pressed into the top, opposite the output gear assembly came loose. Put the pin back in and sealed it back up, ran for a bit then just came loose again. Too much fiddling.

Took Frequencies advice and got a Hitech waterpoof from Amazon for $44 and also in the process of upgrading the steering with aluminum. Assuming the high torque servo will just destroy the stock plastic steering.

I'll be ready to go when this snow we're getting disappears. Need to get more out there with us. That Farmington Hills spot is awesome. Hill climbs, some creekbed rock crawling opportunities; great place to build up a small track and it's right off of 696 and Orchard Lake. I'll bring a rake out next time to push the leaves out, get to the dirt.

Sunday is 48 and partly cloudy? Another run at Farmington? Should be nice and soupy if the snow melts by then.. If the snow is still around then i'd suggest we push.

Just because you don't have mudslingers doesn't mean you should be scared.. lol

If we can get this snow to clear, i'd like to hit Farmington again. I got robbed and want another go of it. I want to bring a rake with me to clear the leaves. the slopes and tiers that were on the other side of the creek look like a great place to put a little track together..

Put the GoPro to work too. I picked up a little tripod that will sit close to the ground, get some up close tire action.

We should come up with a nickname for Farmington Hills because both of us had problems. I do like the idea of bringing a rake maybe I will bring some stuff also just to help clean up a little bit. It will be really sweet to be able to get video as long as we can stay running longer than 5 minutes each lol

Hell yea man! Great spot, lots of potential. Well bring a rake and shovel back there and set up a nice track. Just clearing some of the leaves on the slopes led to a great run a week ago.

Gotta join lost frequency and I over the next few weeks when we head back out. 50/60's are coming up.

Cmon D lets get 5 or 6 cars out there!!!
