Vaterra SlickRock upgrades?

just ordered one of these bad@$$ rigs yesterday....
i dont see much for upgrades on their site?

who makes anything for this machine?

btw...SlickRock crawler is insane, sick, just gotta get yer hands on this!

Ill assume nobody makes upgrades for this rig?

its not a micro scale rig... and maybe get some better 1.9 rims and tires. looks like a scaled up losi mrc..

I just picked one up and waiting for a new esc to actually try it out. I know looking at it I want to widen it a bit. I seen someone mention an axle widening kit but have no idea what I would need. Still new to this mod stuff.

I was hoping Vanquish would have something as they have some stuff for the twin hammers.

It's looks a lot like the losi mini rock crawler. Wonder if those parts will fit.

first off, it is a micro at 18th scale...
next, i emailed supershafty and asked if they were interested in making upgrades and they replied theyd look into something like this.


now that would be frickin awesome!!

The running gear is all MRC. Search for those upgrades.

Check out the sub forum title you posted in, it says 1/24 or smaller.

Yup, it's based on the Losi "mini" rock crawler chassis

okay...
so looking around and im assuming that the driveshafts are the same, but what about the diffs?

i also seen the punisher shafts which ill order after i get my rig. pretty nice!

from what I understand, the drivetrain is the same, the changes are mostly cosmetic. there was a thread on URC comparing the two. You might try comparing the diff parts listings on Losi.com and Vaterra, they should have the same part #'s if they are unchanged.

You don't need new shocks to get rid of the torque twist. Just one stiffer spring in the rear opposite the side that lifts up. My MRC doesn't have it any longer, so I can't say for sure which side that is.

If you want shocks, though, could always get a set of MRC Pro shocks if you can find them, or maybe run a shorter set of Losi Mini Late model shocks.
