Default Attempted a micro brass 6x6.

Hey everyone. Decided I was bored of my MRC (brass frame, leaf sprung), and my Trekker. They weren't getting much use anymore so figured why not attempt a 6x6?

Here's the donor trucks.

torn apart

Modified a stock axle to allow the driveshaft through to the rear.

Roughly mounted, no rear suspension/links yet. Front leaf springs aren't staying in either. Frame is short since it was the same one used in my Toyota.

Working on rear shocks and links

Picture of the truck assembled. All shocks and links completed, they need to be redone and 'beefed' up though. Had to add a heatsink onto the motor, it was getting nuclear hot without it. Heatsink is a small cut off piece of a PC CPU heatsink.

Ran slow on the tiny 1s battery, so made up my own 2s for it.

So technically, chassis/drivetrain wise it's completed. Now I just need to figure out a body for it. Looked around at a bunch of plastic scale models, but just can't justify the cost of some of those kits for a project like this. Might have to get creative with the styrene and build something myself.

Thanks for looking, comments and questions welcome.

Tyson.

Nice work! I've been throwing around the idea of making a 1/24 version of my 6x6 when I came across this thread. Subscribed!

awesome work, have you thought about 4 wheel steering, because that would make it that little bit more hardcore
