Well colour me surprised! (and slightly annoyed)

Yep, when getting power from the Rx all works perfectly but with a separate LiPo no joy...

I wanted to use one as the ESC for my 1/35th Jeep as the 10A I have is still too bulky. Do you think if I directly solder the LiPo to the Rx tabs all will still work OK - it was passing 7.2v direct to the Rx anyway!

As to mixing, I'm not sure - you just gotta be careful, mine runs on the handle's 'E' three position switch

You have done a top job on this, great functionality and details - you've made me get an HBX now... (just need to find/build an awesome body for it!)

Cheers Jimbo Glad to hear you've joined the HBX club

Mine is working from the D trim-type switch so a bit less chance of knocking it, but I'm worried that if I set it winding in accidentally I wont notice till the truck starts folding in on itself as the hook gets dragged through the chassis back to the spool I was thinking of an isolator switch but would be neater if I can do it through mixing. I managed it on my TF2 using a DX6i but god only knows how!

I found the 10A esc is actually bigger than the 20A - defo no good for an orlandoo if its the same one. If you think the RX can handle the 7.4v then I guess you can rig it up that way, with the batt power going to both the rx and esc but really not sure. Neither is rated for 7.4v so you'd be chancing a fry-up. Might be worth looking around for a brushed indoor plane esc, there must be other options out there. Don't think you'll get any joy from the seller - the lack of functioning power-in is obviously a 'feature' as all three boards are doing the same.
