Default Mini Gelande 1/18 build

Finally arrived.. Can't wait to try it indoor/outdoor... It's gonna be a cool lil' rig...

Wow, sweet little fella... Very well detailed... Metal ALL the way except for the cab oviously...

And the tranny will be upgrade with the dual motors trans for more torque...

Some other esthetical upgrades will come later... or sooner

ESSENTIAL upgrade: 2 motors tranny... Much more powerfull but a bit slower... It s a breeze to install, direct bolt on...
The stock one dont have enough torque to go over anything... Only for some very light trailing...

For now, a bit of work on the mini d90...
-radiator paint silver
-took off the top: ready for painting (white)
-replace the white spacer in shocks by a smaller bolt to gain some flex... It can now flex in the side of the lipo instead of on the flat side...
Now waiting on my upgrades to arrive...

Very nice! Too bad it costs so much to make this little guy drivable. RTR means ready to replace! LOL

Yes and no... They are drivable out-of-the-box on very light and smooth terrain but yes, the stock trans can use a bit more torque...

Dual motor tranny cost between 40-80$ depending of the kit, the vendor and the options... The one i got cost 80$ but is a direct bolt on and was pre wired...
But i didn't make a lot of research to find cheaper option honestly...
A friend of mine bought another type of tranny with different option of motor etc, in a sealed tranny and pay only 40$...

And this is pretty much the only upgrade needed...

Sorry, absolutly no idea

Found this kit from a video on Youtube and the link to the vendor eBay store...
Not much info but a lot of good reviews

And yes, its night and day with the stock tranny...

The motors are N20 geared motors. I found the dual motors to be a definite upgrade, but still left this rig lacking in performance. They're definitely a great looking rig, and the most scale micro on the market. But being the most expensive, and least capable micro on the market, I have to agree with Zippoman. More of a "ready to replace" than "ready to run". For a rtr "crawler", it was disappointing that out of the box it wouldn't crawl anything. Your rigs looking good though, I love how it's a mini me to your 1:10. I was wondering though, I like the new wheel/tire combo, but why not keep the stockers to match the 1:10?
