Did you gear the ecx down at all?

Just got done putting a hbx/sumo trans in it new esc and the gelande dive shafts the servo is next then the upper links to get a better drive shaft angle I tried the smaller pinion but it wasn't enough

The sumo transmission with the 3 gears? That has almost no reduction and will make the ECX fast as hell

I'm aware of it, it's basically a sumo crawler. I reviewed them on here years ago. I wasn't concerned with the strength. What I'm saying is the sumo and HBX have all the reduction in the gear head motor, not the transmission. The transmission is almost 1:1.
If you swap a sumo transmission onto the ECX axles it will be crazy fast with low torque and not easy to control. You'd probably want some kind of reduction even if you're building a fast rock bouncer or mud truck.

Hmmm that stinks. I haven’t even looked to see what the trans consists of yet but I might look into printing some gears.

The gelande doesn't have a skid plate the trans mounts to the rails the barrage trans mounts to the skid plate

I run the scrambler on my rocksta and on the barrage are the Mickey Thompson on ftx rims which are wider than most wheels makes them look a little different

thanks,

Are those Scrambler bigger than the miclaw tires?
I dont recall seeing them before they must have been released recently or been out of stock forever.

so far which one is working better on the barrage?
