Default Been awhile, thought I’d dust off the micro’s

Well it’s been almost a year since I’ve done anything with my micro’s. I haven’t had time to work on them, or run them, but today I thought I’d change that. So me and my son decided to do a little crawling around the yard. We had a lot of fun, and carnage, but that’s what it’s all about! Now I’ll have some work to do. All three rigs are Losi Trekker based rigs, and all are 1:20 scale.

First up is my Toyota, Ol’ Blue. Carnage on it was the front steering long ripped out of the drivers side steering knuckle. As well as a nasty grinding in the front end.

Here’s my Toyota Mark VI Trar. Carnage was a broken front axle, and a stripped servo horn.

And then there is my S-10 Blazer. She received the most damage (my son was driving). She received a broken stinger, drivers side mirror, spare tire mount, taillight, and a broken rear leaf spring.

Welcome back! I remember your builds and videos, but haven't seen the Mark V1 all finished. I was tempted to buy one of these kits for a drifter, but missed out and every other one was expensive. It looks awesome!

Hahaha definitely"been awhile"!!!Your drivers get a little old hahaha.Couple days ago I rewatched your videos and I believe I comment on one of them. All of damage your trucks recive hopefully push you back in micros (someone needs to fix them) and making more videos.Btw if you use Jim's leaf spring chassis I have one leaf which I not going to use,but from hardware I assuming you have crawlerX product.Let me know and hopefully you make new video soon.

The frames are all Crawlerx leaf spring frames that were offered for the Losi Trail Trekker/Micro Crawler. Unfortunately they were discontinued around the same time as the Losi Trekkers. They have awesome performance though.

Spoo76, thank you! The Mark VI is a cool kit! I was lucky to find one at a good price. There are some other 1:20 car kits I would love to build drifters out of, but the prices are hard to stomach some times.

Bolo79, it’s nice to hear my videos are still being enjoyed! I’m hoping to get back into building more not that it’s getting colder. I checked today and I’ve got over a dozen unfinished projects I’ve started! As for videos, hopefully I’ll start shooting some, my new place has some amazing rock gardens.

Very nice! Where did you find the roof racks if you don’t mind me asking? Been trying to find some, shapeways has been my only luck.

The roof racks, as well as the bumpers, and camper shell are all made out of styrene plastic. I made all the accessories myself.

They are dirt modeler bead locks mounted to a set of old school Danally wheels with washers inside for added weight.

They’re called “Pose Skeletons”. They’re from japan. They’re super articulate, and seem to fit the 1:20 scale perfectly. I too got obsessed at one point, I think I might have about 20 of those damn things! That way I can take silly pictures of them working on my rigs.

Thanks Adam! I’m hoping to get back to building some more this winter. I’m settled into a new place, and got my bench all set up. Just got to figure out a place for spraying paint that’s out of the cold. Hoping to knock out some old builds though, I’ve got around 20 that are started!
