Very cool! The ESC wires. How did you connect them to the motor?

Ah! When you showed the ESC I saw a white connector on it and wondered if that motor connected to it. Thank you for confirming!

It comes with a plug that plugs into the esc. I soldered that plug to the motor leads

Ordered a Furitek Tegu yesterday. Going to use with a CR-18 motor. I'm mainly most excited for the reduced noise. So much quieter compared to the stock ESC.

After seeing this its just a matter of time before I go brushless.

What motor are you running there?

This looks like the official site.

https://carisma-shop.com/collections...nsorless-motor

Think its ok to buy from here? Also does that price sound right? I'm pretty new to all this but those Surpass 2204 motors are only like $20.

From the video it sounds like these don't need a 3rd party motor mount, it bolts right up to the factory location you just need to shorten the factory screws as they are too long for this motor.

That is the motor. It is a 130 size and I used the Gamyrc 130 V3 motor mount to install it.
It is an expensive motor, but for me was intended to be used in a mud truck and to make wheel speed. The Surpass motor can't be used in the mud, nor will it make this type of wheel speed.

Before Furitek this motor wasn't feasible for a crawler but now that has all changed.

They have the 12000kv in stock... hmmmm

Just be aware....there is a wide power (speed) range. A very controlled throttle finger is required
I wouldn't recommend this motor for a crawler. A little excitement in your finger will launch it.

Good point. Thanks for the help! I have a Surpass 2204 motor, Gamyrc motor mount with the Furitek Tegu on order. I'll see how that setup works first.

I'm not sure this isn't better than the Ax system I have in my 1/10 scale rig. And you can use it with whatever brushless or brushed motor you can stuff in your scx24

I'm considering dropping a "little" coin into my SCX24 and am considering a Furitek ESC and either a larger brushed, or brushless motor. Currently I have stock electronics with an RGT 0.50 motor, but would like a little better low speed modulation and a bit more torque.

How are your Furitek's holding up?

Awesome builds by the way
