I don't believe Ryan was hassling anyone, just trying to help the staff be real. I have a buddy who races a Slash that's trying to get me to do the same. After watching some YouTube, I think a 4x4/crawler would be more my style.

Well then look into our schedule posted on this main MN page and get out there to the next event. I can bring a few options with and show you some differences. Off the cuff, I would say an Axial Honcho or Wraith. If you buy a rtr you get basics on components and all the electronics. If you wanna build a kit, and buy all the electronics separate, you'll be more expensive, but happier in the long run. The kits Come with some of the upgrades you'll eventually want. Ie, aluminum links, steering links, comp compound tires (softer better version then the kits).

Research here on the board and ask us (locals) in this thread. I'll keep an eye out for ya. We are always looking for new members.

Welcome Allen !

Don't mean to Hijack the thread, but also didn't want to waste a whole new thread for this tidbit. In case you didn't see in the paint and body section Wal Mart has started carrying the New Bright 1:8th JK's again (along with a new Silverado). And specific to Minnesota I know the only store I was able to find it at in the NW Metro was the Brooklyn Park location (struck out at Elk River, Maple Grove, and Monticello). Just thought I would share what I had found.

Ya, what's with the Hijack?

Got a Wraith for my B'day and thrashed it the first day. Need new gears and a servo. Time to ante-upgrade and maybe get a Traxxas as well..lol
