MT concern is copyright issues using a pic of a manufactured rig directly. I was thinking like what you have but change the whole pic to more of an outline. Like taking your hole pic you made (which is NICE by the way) and jsut doing the black outlines and base details on a white backround. This way it doesnt piss anyone off since there cant be any copyright complaints.

I'll work on a 2 color graphic.

I know I can get 2 or 3 color from my cousin's business for something like 250 decals/$80 I don't know how good a deal Jeff's friend can work.

I spent about 45min to and hour on the color, I figure another hour or so to go two color and be recognizable.
I'll play with it tonight

If somebody has a non stock rig we could use it, but I like using the AX10 specifically because of it's recognition factor. leaching from it's publicity to help our own.

I am going to play with mine too cause I gotta come up with a logo for the website.

Oh and since I secured us a URL now and working on the site, incorporate the website URL into the pics if possible. Everyone has a website, if ppl can read ours off the stickers, theres even more.

HB,

THat is perfect for a sticker for the Vehicles, now between yours and Maxx's we have 2 to choose from cause they are both perfect to me. Thats what I wanted if I was to put one on. I was thinking that maybe some way of each person having those made but with a pic of their own crawler in place of the AX10, could be an option for those who want it. Personally I am good with what you guys have, basic, cant get in trouble for it, and looks GOOD.

I am up for those 2, BOTH OPTIONS, now if you guys can squeeze "www.STLScaleRC.com" into the bottom of those, we're good as far as I am concerned

I had thought of using one of my own, but the only one I have pictures of looks like a '41 willys. not very identifiable by silouete like a truck is.

you were worried about tademark infringement on the AX10, what about from Subaru for the brat, or Ford from the bronco? I could use a pic of my little tuber seeing as it actually has panels on it.

all I need to squeeze would be the www. the rest is there under the arch.

My concern was the colored picture because of its identity was obvious, the black and white leaves it more open cause then it isnt obviously a AX10. I have my small company and learned to tread really carefully otherwise someone will freak out. Plus then you get guys like in here that have nothing better to do than say "your breaking copyright laws" just cause they need to get a life. Its crap I try to avoid.

I had thought about having the truck articulating on something curvy and soft instead of jagged and rough, but figured we wouldn't want to offend people.

it would have distracted from the make of the truck anyway.....

even on the coloered truck, the axial green is gone, the axle is fairly unidentifiable, only the betty body stands out.

heck, I'll just email axial and ask 'em.

:edit:

to: service@axialracing.com

I made a logo for our local rc crawling club and used a photo of one of the guy's trucks which happens to be one of your trucks.

Is this ok, or is there some copyright I need to be wary of?

The city of st. Louis shouldn't have a problem, nor should the Delicate Arch in Utah, but I wanted to check with your company before publishing this logo on a webpage.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Looks good max, but the web addy is hard to read. try putting "scale" and "rock" on the same line, bumping up the arch and brushtruck and leaving the website black on white, or at least letters on white.
