| A humble build thread.
I am proud of my accomplishment, but it's not nearly as intricate as some of the others posted here. That being said, PICS!! I'll give you the short and sweet. Design taken from my head and MrRangeRover1996 Thats the progress of it all. Thanks for looking! Last edited by robertjpjr; 01-13-2014 at 06:36 PM. |

| Re: A humble build thread. January 2014 - YouTube Thanks guys! It was a fun project. The video shows the truck with the snow plow attachment. It crawls slow and trails great. In 2nd gear itll do probably 15mph. On a 2s! |

The tires are 1.9 Ripsaws. I used 3" m4 bolts ran through holes in the rim. You can either squish the tires together, or, like I did, Get some plastic tubing and us it as a spacer. 4 bolts per tire set, seems to be holding just fine. You can spend more money and get aluminum tube for a more sturdy spacer, but It's what I had on hand... Spacers are about 1 1/4" long If memory serves. And you have to drill the outer rim center out to fit a wrench through. So you ruin the outer 4 tires essentially as it messes the hex up. |

Thanks Very much for the compliments guys! Added a plow few weeks ago. Not much snow to plow lately here in Maine, but it's still a blast to run on the trails with. As big as it is... |

Been a while since I've updated this thread. Here's the progress. The plow frame was too weak for the bashing I give it. I was thinking of making it turn with a servo, but I know I'd just destroy my servo on the first run. So, it remains in a fixed state, but much stronger. Needed some lights. So I picked up a flashing light bar off the EBay's and painted the frame of it black. Also added 5, 3mm amber led's right above the windshield. I'm happy with how the cab and plow sits now. I'm considering redoing the bed area though. The length doesn't fit my wraith, and barely fits my scx10. I'm toying with the idea of making the tow crane as was suggested. Or a battery / supplies truck. Any thoughts?? |

So I had an idea tonight. 1hr and $25 later... So I am really happy with the suspension changes I've been making. Totally a trial and error situation. Tons of pics as usual. I'll see about making the dump section functional. Some fine tuning tomorrow. |

So got the dump bed working. Here's how it site as of right now. I may change the servo to a motor and ESC when my motor to threaded rod coupler arrives. |

I'm still figuring this whole YouTube thing out. That being said, this is my channel. Has a few videos, nothing fancy, but you can see the truck in action. Robert Pedreira - YouTube |
