Default 3D printed 1:10 REO M109 Duece and a half

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...726_181608.jpg two wraith axles, one CGM Metal Head custom made pass through axle, 27" aluminum frame, two 50 turn motors using a RC4WD 2 speed tranny .
took it out on the rock pile and found very little rear axle articulation is needed for this sick by six to go anywhere.
the 3D body is very strong so far printed 3mm thick.

using a wraith tranny as a carrier bearing for now until I fab something better. nasty driveline angles are causing binding issues need a pass through axle.

I'll get some more pics of the cab up soon

having issues with driveline binding either limit travel or redesign drivetrain

if anyone is looking to build a wraith 6x6 I found a pass through axle that GCM Racing can put together from there Metalhead Wraith axles they can configure it anyway you want left or right offset fwd or backwards even centered. going to order one next week and hopefully my phone will upload to photobucket by then, have a bunch of new pics,

GCM RACING builds an amazing axle! I contacted them by email asking if their metal head axle could be used as a 6x6 pass through axle and for a few extra dollars they made a rear pinion housing that works flawlessly. I can't wait to buy the other two axles so I can have a matched set.

I'll get that uploaded soon and will let you know, need to clean up the models so it doesn't need so much body filler.

took it out for it's maiden crawl with the new GCM Metal Head axle. did well except steep stuff the single 55 turn gives up. adding a second 55t hope that will work better.

From the first image of the cab it appears lots of filler was required due to the file and build orientation. He mentioned needing to clean up the file a few posts back. The orientation of the build can make a difference in the finish resolution. This might be a case where it would be better to build panels and glue them together rather than building a complete part in one shot.

Cool project, I like it.

I really like the gcm axles, but for the price, I'd go with curries:/
