Hi all, about to pull the trigger on my first 8x8 build. Scx10 axles and wondering if 4 link were used or panhard. Have been searching for a cab style that wasn't all flat sides like the hemtt and found a British design that could be modified to fit the bill. Cab built from styrene and stretched to cover both front axles. Front mounted motor, transfer case and so forth. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

4 link could definitely work, as could a walking beam modified with heim joints at the pivot points.

I have a 4 link on my rear axles I use a pan hard on my front axle. With the chassis mounted servo with out the bar the axle moved so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by d-fly; 01-02-2016 at 10:35 PM. |

Was sitting at my faithful laptop this morning and was about to pull the trigger on an 8 bill order which included a new lynx 4s radio. Then my phone rings and its my son saying dad my computer died and I need a new one for school. My finger is still on the mouse button and hovering over the place order icon. I ask how much will one that will suit his needs cost. Ironically its going to be about the cost of the 8x8 build. in sticker shock my hand moves the mouse and my brain starts screaming abort abort abort! I tell him that we will get him one Tuesday when I'm home. I get the thanks dad I love you which makes me smile. Now wondering how to start a new build I look around and spy Rattle my trusty clodbuster. Totally out of the question. My eye then turns to Ruckus, an ax10 that seldom gets used anymore. A few axle changes and it would work. Next we have the scx10 which I have been usuing for scale builds. Theres 2 more axles. So now the build will be a 6x6 instead of 8x8. The order was drastically reduced while still keeping the new radio. Parts should be in by the time I get home nexy week. |
