2.2 6x6 build

Made myself an account here to document as well as seek advice for my senior project for my mechanical engineering bachelor's degree. Last year I converted my SCX10 into a 6x6. I really only do trail runs so the extra traction and cool factor was worth the loss in real crawling ability. Only thing is, I wish it was bigger. I'm building from the ground up a 2.2 6x6 rig. I'm designing everything in SolidWorks before building it. Currently have the frame done as well as a couple small parts. I'm using AR60 axles which should be delivered tomorrow so then I will make accurate models of those in SolidWorks so I can continue designing. My idea for the frame is to use steel so I can weld the rails, and all center supports and skid plate into one solid piece (it would be nice to add welding to the project to add another engineering type process to the project). It would be nice to use aluminum but I don't possess the tools nor the skills to weld aluminum. Below is a list of parts I have chosen so far.

The power system is up for suggestions. I don't need a Mamba Monster but I don't want brushed because I'd like to get some decent speed out of it. I think the Hobbywing is a decent choice but please leave other suggestions.

For now I'll leave a picture of my SCX10 and I'll post pictures of my progress when I get a chance
