Can you handle the SandBox.....

- BITS points chase Video Teaser -
by Rivas Concepts

Welcome to the hardest race series in Nevada. Welcome to BEST in the SANDBOX points chase.

Rules & Guidelines

Vehicles
- Your rig will get wet and muddy, you will drive through water/mud. Water proofing is highly suggested!
- You WILL get stuck or be force to travel obstacles that are undrivable. If you don’t have a winch you will be forced to beg for a tow.
- Mud is sticky, therefore wheel speed and torque should be a high concern.
- SORCCA Vehicle/Scale Rules will be enforced, however there is no set Class so Class3 is your MAX limit.
SORCCA Scale Rules
- Tire size will be limited to 5.75 x 2.2 MAX. With the same ban list as SORCCA.
- There is a minimum of 15 scale points and no more than 40 will be given. Each scale point will be equal to .5 seconds off the total score of the day.
** stock wraith without lights has 10pt **

Rules
- No running allowed on the course unless section challenges require the team to run that specific section only.( A slow jog or fast walking to keep up with the vehicle is not considered running.) Running the course out side of these challenge sections will result in a DNF for that team.
- Drivers will be allowed to catch their rigs in the event to avoid excessive damage or total loss. This can never be used as strategic move on course or as a way to cross the finish line during an event. - All finishing vehicles must cross the finish line under their own power, being towed by a team mate or other competitor.

Points and Penalties
- Timed events: Best time with the least penalties win.
- Distance & obstacle events: Best score with least penalties win.
- Series Points are awarded to finishing position. The number of points will depend on how many rigs are running that day. 10 rigs - 1st place get 10points, ect ect.
** Rig with the most Series Points at the end of the Series Wins**

- Gates and boundaries if hit will be a 30sec penalty.
- If a course cannot be completed then a DNF ( Did Not Finish )and no points will be awarded
- Winching, 4ws, dig and reverses are all allowed and are not penalized.
- Winching must be off a fix object or rig, no "Hand of God" assistance is allowed during the winching process.
- Some events may have slight scoring changes that will be given at the time of the event.
- Hand Of God: (H.O.G) = 10 min penalty. ( THIS SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT ONLY )
This should not be used as common practice during a simple too bad roll over. Each time this is used for each driver it will add 10 min every time.

We wanted the rules as simple and cut and dry as possible. But also remember if you do not like or agree with anything - POST A RESPONSE. Enough people agree and we have no problem changing things.
We will never stop anyone from coming out and having fun with any rig thats battery powered but if you do not fit the rules you just will not get series points. No series points = no BITS win.
Lastly - scale points. If you do not like building "toys" then don't. Build the things YOU WILL NEED to cross the finish line. Winches, tow straps, lights (there will be a night race), ground anchors, and spare parts all count as scale points when on the rig. Those who go farther will just be rewarded more.

It's a 1:1 thing but we use them in scalers too. I might be able to cut a handful and sell them before the season starts.

DNF=DNS
Yes - the way I look at it everyone should have spares, if not..... drive it broke. And if something so off the wall as a motor gives out start asking for a tow!

Keeping it as simple as possible and as much like real 1:1s as possible.

Its both - there will be atleast 1 team comp.

When in doubt - Throttle out!

- BITS points chase Video Teaser -
by Rivas Concepts

Unlimited Class - Tire restricted - Points chase series
Battle it out over completely different races and fight for all the bragging rights.

Possible Courses
These are some of our possible course sytles and set ups. We always have more ideas than time and energy, but you can bet this is will be very different than anything else out there.

Wild West Shoot Out
XRRA - short course rock racing
SpiderTrax XRRA Videos
** Don't have the speed to power through? Prove you can pick the better line to stay on top.**
Combined short course racing with rocks on a head to head course and you habe XRRA. This will not envole running or rig chasing, and you should be able to see the entire course from one spot.

Flat Rock 40
AWDC - multi mini stage partner event
AWDC Howlin' Wolf Series
**Can you and a partner work together to scale the impassable?**
This will be a team event - 2 rigs per team. 40 mini courses laid out over 2 hours. Team with the most the most completed courses in the shortest time wins. You will be forced to work as a team and every course will be different. Some might even make you pull, winch, or push your team mate over something that a 1:1 couldnt drive.

Rock Bouncers Anonymous
King of the HIll – dig in, throttle down, power through
Southern Rock Race series
**It’s only a 40ft hill climb….**
Southern offroading at its BEST. Multiple hill climbs, adding ruts, mud, and rocks to make you smile. With the right site this could easly become a side by side course for an added bonus.

Dirt Roit night enduro
Ultra4 - a little dessert, a little rock crawling ALL wheel spinning FUN
Ultra4 Youtube Page
**Ever try to thread your rig through the trail in the dark? I hope you got lights….**
Multiple gates with loosly marked boundaries between them, in the fading sun light, with 3min apart starts. some sections will cause bottle necks and so long open sectiosn will allow for passing. Its every man for himself to the finish line. Did I mention its in the dark?

Rock Junkies
WeRock - home grown rock crawling
2007 WeRock Highlights
**Can you dodge cones?**
Good old fashioned rock crawling comp style. Drive the gates in order - dodge the cones - make the score to win.

Season Closer
**You'll only find out if you make it that far….**
TTC Highlights
2010 KOH

We are looking to start the series late Nov - Late Dec. Very little of our set up is written in stone - if you see some anything that you do or don't like - Let Us Know! We are fluid and want your inputs.

I'd say the same as plastic. What cut and shut tires and rims are you using?
Heck post photos and I'll list your scale points out for ya.

ive got no prob addin up my points. i guess basically what im askin since have to have 15+ scale points is are we also going by the rules for points as well or just the class 3 limit of how they are built?????

and didnt see it but for points a spare has to be functional and within 1/4th in of running tires size, can the spare be a 2.2 cut to 1.9?????

also since we can have up to 40 points is it also limited by the rules of how many points per thing(winch/fire extinguisher/spare/bumpers) we can have?????

like rules may only give points of up to 2 winches but i have 3.....thats just example
