Default NMRCC 2013/2014 Comp Season

Get ready guys, because it coming soon.

Here are the projected comp dates:
1. 11/10 Location: Poo Water
2. 12/8 Location: San Ysidro Trials Area
3. 12/15 Location: Mega Poo Water
4. 1/5 Location: Lower White Wash
5. 1/19 Location: Pete's Playground
6. 2/1 Location: Spain
7. 2/23 Location: Tuscany Park *raffle*
8. 3/2 Location: Copper
9. 3/16 Location: Kuens Krux
10. 3/30 Location: Mega Poo Water
11. 4/12 Location: San Ysidro
12. 5/18 Location: España
13. 5/24 Location: Poo Water (END of season fun comp. Scores do not count towards season totals)

*These dates and locations are not set in stone. They are subject to change*

*** Club Meeting***
There will be a BBQ/ Meeting/ Fun Crawl/ Meet and Greet at Supper Rock on 11/3. Everyone is welcome to join us! Crawlers, scalers, bashers, airplane guys, boat guys, whatever you are, come and see what it's about. We will have burgers and dogs. Bring your own drinks.. Everything else will be provided. We will also have the all the bridges and the tractor pull out as well.

*** Club Dues ***
There will be club dues. $20 as always. You do need to pay dues if you want your scores to count and be posted. If you want to just come out and have fun, dues do not need to be paid.

Let's try and make this season big you guys. The crawling club needs more people! All you scalers out there need to see what this is all about.. And all you crawling veterans need to get back into the game! You probably still have them. Bring them out!

Get those rigs ready! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Questions regarding dates, locations, and scoring will be answered at the BBQ. See ya'll soon!

***Edit***
We are following the same scoring system as last year, but this time without the "lowest course score bonus". I want to keep things as fair as possible for everyone. The scoring follows the:
1st = 25 points
2nd = 24 points
3rd = 23 points
And so on..

This season we have 11 legitimate comps that count towards season scores. I will be dropping the lowest FOUR scores. So if that means you miss four comps, those 0's will be dropped. If you attend all comps, and have four low scores, those will be dropped. Like I said, I am trying to keep it fair to everyone. With this scoring system as it is, leads and positioning can change from comp to comp, so bring your A-game every comp.

Pro

Spo

NMRCC Crawling comp will be held on SUNDAY.
NMRCC Scaling comps/events will be held on Saturday.

Special events can change Crawling comps to Saturdays, ie: Super Bowl.

This is the schedule we have had for a long time. It works, and we will stick with it.

Good choice of locations. The ladders will be a lot of fun there and I got a score to settle with that damn pull sled.

I will bring some green chile for the burgers.

That's only if you have the money. I would but I'm not sure if I'll keep getting paid because our government is stupid.

I know nothing about Comp crawling. Is a AX set up going to be some what capable? Or is MOA the way to go?
I may be able to piece an AX together quick enough.
I will be at the BBQ for sure to hang out. I hope to build, trade or buy some thing to compete this season.

To test the waters I would say a sporty (ax10) is the way to go. A fully decked out sporty can be close to half of what a fully decked out moa is. Easiest way to get in I think is get a rig from the fs section. Yes it was built to someone else's liking, and sometimes can be a lot of money at once, but if you find the right deal you can get a comp worth rig for almost 1/2 the price of new. Just ask scot

Hope to see you out there Jay. You will enjoy crawling if you get into it. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask here, pm me, or text me

The for sale thread is a great way to go. Get a rig that's ready to go and modify as you see fit. This season I will be running both my moa and the rtr sporty that was purchased from the FS thread. It seems like this years spo class is going to be the larger group. Thanks to Hittman Fab for your help as always.

I have a 3rd SCX I will put up for trade and see what I can come up with. I had a AX as my first crawler, I think the only things I really need to put one together is shocks, tires and wheels and a frame, I have every thing else.

Instead of trading your sxc, use it as as a parts car. Axles, trans ect. If comping is not your thing then you can alwas put it back to an scx. I turned an AX into a honcho so im sure it can go back the other way. Good luck

Sounds good. All you would really need would be a good chassis to do the conversion. Hit up Christian for that, he can definatly point you in the right direction .

There are not many people still around that remember when I ran a bully rig. I took it off a 6 foot tumble only to have broke a plastic end link! They are burable as all get out... but yes... VERY HEAVY! And the turning radious sucks.
But all in all.. one of the most durable rigs I have ever owned.

If you are looking at a bully, get on the waiting list for the bully 2's. Same steering as bergs, not nearly as heavy as the og bully's and they are some very top notch axles for the price. Rc4wd created a true contender in those new axles, and I have a feeling they are going to be impressive.
