after the hollidays (cant say the "C" word or i might get *****ed at ) i plan on buying some new stuff for my trail rig (rise of the tlt buildup in small scale). im going to try and get some moabs and these rims: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...62&FVPROFIL=++ im going to narrow them and i was wondering what the best CA gluw would be. im only narrowing the wheels by the way, not the moabs please help. |

I have never narrowed wheels before, but if I did I would use a medium or thick CA, or use a quick epoxy.

Yes it will. This is the only one of the 4 that wasn't glued with ic2000 and it's the only one that broke. Southern Wisconsin in October They don't sell it at tower. Just about any lhs does though. http://www.bsiadhesives.com/Pages/ho...ler/index.html Last edited by Cole82; 12-14-2005 at 06:30 PM. |

I use insta-flex on mine.. when you narrow wheels, just make sure that when you cut them they are nice and flat and cut straight. if not, you will have problems getting the glue to hold them. The last set of wheels I narrowed for doug, I had my cutoff wheel from my dremel in my drill press. locked it into place and began cutting. just spin the rim around and you have a nice straight cut. glue them back together and with the extra that is left over, put it over the area you cut and glue it in place( after you make a cut in it, so you can place it around the rim). I then use zip-ties to hold it all in place for at least 24 hrs. Dougs rims are very solid and airtight.

well apprently tower doesnt have it. im going to search tower for something similar. and if they dont have iti will call my LHS later and see if they have it but i would prefer ordering from tower bacause it would be cheaper and my LHS is about 15 mins away and my parents hate going there for some reason.
