| If you look at the numbers involved it makes it easy. Most of the ESC's that Iv'e looked at on;y put out 5 amps to the servo. This includes high end ESC's. The CC BEC puts out 10 amps. The fact is, a BEC is better than not. |

well im having the same problem, to poor to get a bec yet but i will. im running a evx-2, 9100t, and a fan on the motor to keep it cool with a 4-cell. if i plug an external battery like a reciver pack, in the reciever do you think it will work or burn my reciver up?

yes but makes sure you remove the red wire from your esc plug that plugs into the receiver the main thing that will do is give your steering servo more amps not pulled from the esc and more voltage downside to a receiver pack is extra weight but it will do what you need
