Asking what type of servo to run is simply over-asked.

so i'm a little pissed. I am posting this in the NEWBIE forum cause i don't know what i'm doing. i've done work on nylints but nothing else. this thread was started to help ME with my soon to be build. so, as I being the N00B here don't know, i could use the information about a nylint and just waste money, i don't know, so i was asking nicely for some help. would it really be so hard as to NOT reply in an as$ hole maner and just say, what you use, or just keep your mouth shut?

Servo: Hitec HS-645-MG... I know this, not from asking, but from reading :P

Check out my posts. The only questions I've asked have been about brushless motors. The information is there, you just gotta look for it...

Yes the TQ3 is a good raid to use. Also I like the HPI TF-4 radio and RF-2 receiver this is what my friend and I use and we love them. You can mod it to do 4 wheel steer if needed. And you can also mod the TQ3 for 4 wheel steer if need also.

There's newbie questions and then there's just damn lazy. There's more than enough info in the stickied posts to get you going. When you have a specific question, feel free to post it here.

The Tq3 shoudl be fine for what you are doing and yes that auction has what you need. The servos arent the best but theres three there so you can use them till you break them, then actually buy a good servo.

for servos, the higher the number the more torque/power it has, there for stronger? or does it depend more on brand

the number has really nothing to do with it. In the end it matters what the Specs are. And yes more torque means more power. Also going cheap is not smart because cheap stuff breaks because its well... CHEAP suck it up and buy a nice TR2 (Tekin Rebel 2) speed controller and be happy when it doesn't break.

Ouch, those colors are hard on the eyes

That's a good price on the TLT if you don't have to ship it. Ultimate Hobbies has the same price with free shipping.

TQ-3 is a great choice for a radio because there is a lot of info available for setting it up for rear steering. If you can get it with the servos for less than $35 or so it would be a good deal.

Don't bother with the Tamiya motor - you will find it too fast. Go for the Integy 55t - it works great.

I don't know much about the Novak XRS except that it probably does not have a high BEC current rating. It would probably be fine for running one servo, but two might be a strain for it. You could always run a RX battery though.

Sounds like you've got a decent plan shaping up though - good luck.
