| Help please!!!
I am really new to the RC world! I got the Maxstone 8. I would like to upgrade my servo to something that has more torque, however i am clueless when it comes to how servos mount. Are they universal mounting or do i need to find a plate or fab something? |

| he wants a STRONG servo, not a little panty waist dig servo the 5980 may take a little bit of work to wedge in there, being it is a lil bigger than a STANDARD servo, as the duuuuuuuude said But the 7950's, Jr9100t, 8711 etc all fit perfect. |

However, keep in mind that the numbers for both of those servos are at 7.4V.....you'll need an external BEC wired directly to the servo to get that voltage to the servo and get out those torque ratings...

Any recommendations for the BEC? Also i saw a post in here on having 2 servos up front. Is that possible or did i miss read? How the hell would you mount two in the front if that is the case? |

Castle Creations BEC. You'll need the Castle Link to program it to different voltages (stock is 5.1V)...

So get those two things and program to 7.4V and i'll get the most out of the servo? So if i want to do rear steer, i need to do the same and buy the steering linkage? If i do rear steer, how will that affect the battery life? |

Rear steer will require a second set of; C-hubs, knuckles, links, a servo and servo horn. A lil bit. but not like running an additional motor or anything.

Will that affect the battery life? Should i upgrade to 2 batteries in series (or is it parallel)?

Minimally....no need for two batteries. On my super, I run dual high torque Brood motors, and two Hitec 7980's set for 7.4V each along with a 850mAh 4S Krawler Hobbies lipo and I get about 15-20 minutes per pack... |

I think im missing something! you have a total of 4 motors or am i just being an idiot? A couple of my friends have been trying to talk me into using 770 motors. Is that a bad idea? |
