Default stick chassis question

i'm getting to build a stick chassis and i'm having a problem finding the hem joints i went to home depot & lowes in the nut and bolt ailse and did not find any. are they in a different location, any help would be great thanks gary.:-P

I believe that most people building home made sticks are ordering the joints over the internet and not on a local basis. Here's a link to a thread with the info on where to order them.

auto parts stores have 1/4" heims.

if you want the nylon ones that are on alot of them, then you need to buy them from www.mcmastercarr.com under "find products" type in the words "rod end" then go to "light weight rod end ball joint" and there they are. you want the 1/4-28 size (you will have to turn them down to get them to fit in the clod axles though, as with any rod end you buy).

I saw some nice metal ones at a local Northern Tool and Equipment. May have to have the rod end milled down a little but they are aluminum. If you have one near you, see if they have a section for go carts. they are the rod ends for steering and brake linkages.
