sounds more like an axial than a rs10, looks like your sons gonna give you a good challenge. good find |

Mac man, your patience may overcome your son's rig performance. What LiPO's?, 2S, 3S??? A 55T motor may be a little tame, torquey yes, but maybe a bit tame. | |

Got my rig in tonight, I think suspension is gonna need some work, doesn't flex enough I think. Correction on wheels they are Pro line. It has the Axial AE1 esc , does this have the low voltage cutoff? Also the chassis is supposed to be a TOP Bannana comp... who makes this?

| Re: Newby In most cases a ton of articulation is not always the best, and for a comp truck, it hurts you more than it helps. I run my comp shocks limited so I get about 4-4.5" of flex before it starts to lift the tire at the other corner. then again what ever works best for you, try it first and change it up if you don't like it. The AE-1 ESC has no voltage cut off, you can wire in a low voltage alarm, if you don't have a BEC get one of those too. Not sure about the "top Banana" chassis.....sounds dangerous... |

Cool the front doesn't move hardly any, the rear moves enough that I'm satisfied. I will have to test it out good first. lol

| Re: Newby BEC = Battery Eliminator Circuit.... All ESC's have them (it powers the RX, ESC & servo) but most don't put out much power. You are fine with a full rig with up to ~200inoz steering servo, after that you will likely need an external BEC. Most of us run the Castle Creations 10Amp BEC. It's ~$22 US to buy, it's small and they did a recent update to them (3 months ago?). If you run a lower output servo, you may be fine though with the internal BEC. |
