Default esc help

im looking for an esc for my 1/8 crawler i want it to be waterproof since i do more trail driving, so mud and water is what im worried about. i have looked at evx-2 esc's and mtroniks crawler esc (x2) but i was just curious if anyone else has any other suggestions.

If you want it already waterproofed, get a Holmes BR-XL. It is a crawler type ESC with decent limits.

Could run twin Velineon ESC's, then you'd have the capability of running a 3S LiPo on each one.

the holmes br-xl seems like it would be a great esc but there out of stock untill march, so i think im gonnabuy a cheap esc for now and then buy the br-xl. a velineon esc can be used with a brushed motor?

Just remember the Velineon ESC doesn't have a drag brake setting. I run it in one of my trail rigs and it's fun but needs some throttle to hold it in place on a slope. This is with a brushless motor so a brushed motor will help but not as much as an ESC with drag brake settings.

THANKS!!! im not to worried about drag brakes, when i ran an evx-2 in it i had no problem with it rolling.
