Default Sv2 sidewinder

Hi I need help, I purchased a sv2 speed control for my wraith and I got the castle link to set up through computer, it is set to brushed and the DRAG BRAKE is set to 213% full crawler, I can put my wraith on a SLIGHT hill and it will just roll right down it :( everyone online is saying these will stop your crawler on a STEEP hill let alone a dinky one, is there something wrong with my esc, thanks

brake strenght kinda depends more on the motor then the adjustment of the drag brake. i have sv2 with 4pole brushless it holds on a pretty steep incline

My wraith is about 7lbs and the motor is the traxxas 12t 550 brushed this all came as a setup from ckrc crawlers, I mean seriously on a slight hill it acts as tho it has no drag brake, I can take a couch cushion 1 1/2 feet high on one end and it just rolls right down and kinda quick.

Did you calibrate the ESC to the RX?

I acctually had a hobby store owner set it up the first time who used to run crawler competitions and im pretty sure he calibrated it, if he didn't wouldn't it not run properly? Then i tried unsetting and resetting the drag break and once done, everything runs fine but not really any drag brake, so do I still need to recalibrate? And to the other guy about looking on castle's site I will try but I'm pretty sure it's all set up right, when u set up through the computer it's pretty straight forward, but I don't know I'm thinking of just saling it and get something else, I appreciate all the help

Programming the ESC is different than calibrating it to the RX.

Programming is where you set the drag brake, motor type, reverse type, LVC, etc.
Calibrating to the RX is so the ESC knows what to do with the signal from the radio. If the "center" is off on the throttle, you may still be driving the ESC a bit, thus no drag brake.

Calibrating is a 10 second job. Try it.

Calibration... http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...s_ed_guide.pdf , page 14.

My son & I run a lot of Castle ESC's, we can help if the 2 links don't get you going.

Yea I just recalibrated it for the third time and there's no difference so I'm not going to waste anybody else's time I'm just going to get rid of it, it's the simplest thing to set it up with the castle link, I just don't see how on my part I'm not doing something right but I appreciate everyone's responses, thanks

Have you called castle ? If there's something wrong with the esc they may just replace it. I have a sv2 and the drag brake works well and it's on 100% not 213%.
